History

The Salesians of Don Bosco started their mission in Chitradurga on 12th June 1995. Considering the need of the place and time along with socially beneficial activities and empowerment of the villages the Salesians focused on educating the children as a vehicle of social transformation.

Presently Don Bosco Chitradurga is an extensive campus consisting of a State School, ICSE School, Junior College, Play School, Chitra (social developmental office),Boarding, Church, DBtech (Skill training centre) and Residence.

Don Bosco ICSE School, Chitradurga began in 2005. It was temporarily affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, in 2007. After five years of existence, the school has been granted permanent affiliation to the same board in the month of June, 2013. The School Code is KA-144. The school is the Centre for ICSE board examination. Five Batches of ICSE students have completed 10th Standard from the school with 100% result for all the five consecutive years.
